Double Tooth Fairy Money

Carson had a baby tooth that just refused to come loose on it's own.  The problem with that?  The adult tooth was coming in anyway!  When he went in for his 6 month cleaning (no cavities!  YEA), the Dentist told him it was going to need to come out!  Carson negotiated with Dr. Losee to let him work on it and wiggle it on his own to see if it would come out.  Dr Losee relented and gave him until after Christmas... if it doesn't come out on it's own, he would "help" it along (aka pull it out).
Once Carson left the room, Dr. Losee told me the root was too deep, there was just no way that tooth was coming out on it's own so I should schedule the appointment for the first of the year :(

He tried realllly hard to be brave and strong.  The whole time he sat in the chair with the "funny nose" on, he had small little tears in the corner of his eyes.  The Assistant was so cute and tried really hard to console him.  "Dr Losee is just going to wiggle your tooth out."  WIGGLE MY BEHIND!  There was no wiggling going on here.  Dr Losee took his fancy little pliers, got hold of that tooth, twisted and yanked that baby out.  I. HATE. THIS!  This is one of the hardest things about being a mom... watching your son in pain and scared.  I NEVER want to watch someone get their tooth pulled EVER again.  In an effort to calm him down after the tooth was out, Dr Losee told Carson, "you know what!?  When I take your tooth out, the Tooth Fairy brings double the money!!" (Gee thanks Dr Losee :)
This is ONE. BRAVE. BOY!

Look at the root on that thing!
